Tesla's plan for iron-based batteries opens the door for the Chinese in the U.S.
Tesla needs to switch to a less expensive battery for its electric vehicles. Still, it needs to figure out some way to overcome political tensions to get a Chinese partner to make the iron-grounded batteries close to its U.S. manufactories. Tesla's manufactories are located in the United States. The two countries with the most land under cultivation on the planet are currently unable to resolve their differences regarding levies, protected innovation freedoms, and Chinese incursions into Taiwan's air guard ID zone.
